                            Biographical Notes

Making music since 1965!  Thanks to all my music teachers:   Edward Kirby, Charles Hicks, Ernie Rodgers, and saxophonist George Benson.

Hip SqueezeA gifted musician at age 13, Opelton made his first professional recording at Magic City Records 1968 playing the sax on “The Funky Monkey” and “Hip Squeeze” by Mad Dog and the Pups.  He went on to record with many Detroit groups.  Twelve years later after Nature Divine’s debut album, “In the Beginning” Opelton left the business, feeling a call to the ministry.

Today, Opelton continues to use his musical talents as a Preacher/Worship Leader, Saxophonist, Flutist, Clarinetist, and oboist.  The above tunes in the music section have been shortened, but the full version will download when you purchase a tune.  Please buy the tunes if you can;  it helps his ministry.  He also will be sharing musical instructions to help musicians bring out their creativity.
